ELECTROLYTES

ELECTROLYTES – HYDRATATION IS KEY!

  • Sodium (Na+) and Potassium (K+) are the most common electrolytes used in sports. They play a critical role in hydration by balancing the osmolarity inside and outside your cells; thereby ensuring a homeostatic balance of water for optimal cellular function.
    • Figure 1 – Relative Levels of Electrolytes Lost Through Sweat
PRIME(X) contains 210 mg of Potassium (as much as half a banana) and 110 mg of Sodium (as much as a bottle of Gatorade) per serving to keep you fully hydrated and replenished with electrolytes!
